Security Awareness Training Acquisition: MetaCompliance Buys Moch

MetaCompliance, a security awareness and compliance training provider, has purchased Danish EdTech company Moch for an undisclosed sum. Moch marks MetaCompliance's first acquisition, and the transaction was completed in conjunction with private equity firm Tenzing.

This is technology M&A deal number 565 that MSSP Alert and sister site ChannelE2E have covered so far in 2022.

MetaCompliance, founded in 2005, is based in London, England. The company has 138 employees listed on LinkedIn. MetaCompliance's areas of expertise include cybersecurity, eLearning, phishing simulation software and GDPR privacy and policy management.

Moch, founded in 1999, is based in Copenhagen, Denmark. The company has 34 employees listed on LinkedIn. Moch's areas of expertise include eLearning, learning management, compliance, gamification, awareness training, GDPR training and cybersecurity and information security training.

What Does the Moch Acquisition Mean for MetaCompliance?

Moch enables MetaCompliance to provide additional support to its European customers, the companies noted. It will help these customers train staff to be vigilant in an increasingly challenging cyber threat landscape.

Also, Moch represents "an important step" in MetaCompliance's European expansion, said Robert O'Brien, MetaCompliance's CEO. It will add capacity and capability to MetaCompliance's operations in Europe and reflects the company's commitment to deliver a solution that can help organizations mitigate digital risk through staff awareness initiatives.

MetaCompliance delivers cybersecurity and compliance technology and training content used by both public and private sector organizations. It does not currently offer a partner program for MSSPs and MSPs but may look to provide one in the future.
