KPMG, a Top 100 MSSP for 2017, has acquired the identity and access management (IAM) business of cybersecurity services provider Cyberinc. The acquisition enables KPMG to bolster its consulting services and increase its digital consumer identity and privileged user management talent and resources, according the companies. Financial terms were not disclosed.The Cyberinc IAM business includes a 190-person global team with experience in providing advisory, strategy and implementation services, KPMG stated. It also delivers managed services to organizations that want to bolster their enterprise or consumer identity capabilities.With the addition of Cyberinc's IAM business, KPMG can provide information protection to large enterprises and enable these organizations to pursue new digital interactions and business transformations, KPMG indicated. The acquisition also represents one of several recent moves that could help KPMG further extend its global IAM market reach.KPMG this week announced a partnership with Ping Identity, an identity-defined security software company. Together, KPMG and Ping Identity will deliver flexible, large-scale consumer and identity access management (CIAM) solutions, according to the companies. Furthermore, KPMG has partnerships with integrated cloud applications and platform services provider Oracle and SailPoint, a company that offers identity governance and cloud identity management software. These partnerships highlight KPMG's commitment to deliver advanced information protection to enterprises, the company said.
