Cy4Data Labs Gets Funding Boost for Encrypted Data-in-Use Platform

Dollar Seedling – Growth Concept – Sprout On Banknotes In Increase

Cy4Data Labs has secured a $10 million funding round led by Pelion Venture Partners, marking a key milestone in its mission to make data encryption persistent—even during active use. The funding will support expanded go-to-market initiatives as the company positions its technology as a critical layer of protection for modern data environments. The company’s approach tackles a longstanding gap in data security: keeping data encrypted not just at rest or in motion, but also while it's being processed.

Traditional encryption methods expose data once it's in use, making it vulnerable to insider threats and memory-based attacks. Cy4Data Labs addresses this challenge by keeping data encrypted at all times, regardless of whether it's being queried, analyzed, or manipulated. This approach allows organizations to reduce risk exposure without compromising system performance or data accessibility, a key differentiator in high-security environments such as finance, healthcare, and government.

By embedding its solution within existing SaaS platforms and databases, Cy4Data Labs avoids the disruption often associated with new security implementations. Its technology integrates with enterprise infrastructure and supports real-time operations, giving security and data teams the ability to enforce protection policies across the full data lifecycle. As AI and cloud adoption accelerate, these capabilities are increasingly relevant for enterprises facing complex compliance and security demands.

With Pelion’s backing, Cy4Data Labs plans to scale its market presence and demonstrate its capabilities at major industry events, including RSA Conference 2025. The investment reflects growing interest in security tools that can adapt to evolving threats while addressing longstanding pain points around data handling and protection.
