Terra Security Raises $7.5M to Advance Agentic AI for Continuous Pen Testing

Pen Tests and Bug Bounties

Most cybersecurity teams struggle to conduct regular penetration testing, despite knowing its value in identifying vulnerabilities before attackers do. Traditional approaches remain largely manual, expensive, and time-consuming—making continuous testing difficult to scale. Terra Security, a New York and Tel Aviv-based startup, is taking a different route. Backed by a $7.5 million seed round led by SYN Ventures and FXP Ventures, the company is betting on agentic AI to make penetration testing more efficient, scalable, and context-aware.

Terra’s platform uses dozens of fine-tuned AI agents to simulate white-hat hackers, continuously testing web applications for vulnerabilities. Each agent is tailored to an organization’s specific business context and risk profile, adapting its testing strategy based on emerging threats. Unlike conventional automation tools, which struggle to replicate the adaptive nature of real adversaries, Terra’s multi-agent approach integrates human supervision through a “human-in-the-loop” design—enhancing both precision and reliability.

By bridging the gap between human-led red teaming and automated scanning tools, Terra enables security teams to operationalize offensive testing as part of their ongoing defense strategy. The company’s current offering focuses on web application security, but it plans to extend capabilities to red teaming and broader network security assessments in the future.

With fresh capital and growing interest from Fortune 500 clients, Terra is positioning itself as a service-as-software solution for ethical hacking—moving beyond compliance checklists toward continuous, risk-informed security testing.
